Xtreme MX-3
I have posted this guys car before, but he keeps changing things. As far as i know he still has his hydraulics, 19" spinner rims, bunch of tv units, 4 racing seats, headlight conversion, tailight conversion, chromed out engine, red dash, etc, blah blah blah. After the new paint job I dont really like it, but anyways, here are some recent pics from Super Tuner night....

Re: Xtreme MX-3
I wanted spinner rims for the longest time ever. They cost a lot.
Re: Xtreme MX-3
I like how he reveresed the seat belt thingies in the back and put LCD screens in them so that you can watch something on TV. Though he should've gone with carbon fiber Eclipse tails, or at least the imitation ones. That contrast to the shiny plastic is always disgusting. The front headlights are a quaint innovation. I'm still surprised he has the K8.
Re: Xtreme MX-3
that car is horrid...
92 red rs
performance exhaust
zx2 struts and Eibach springs
turboed + stand alone when the cash is there

Re: Xtreme MX-3
that is one sick car! Check out how the top of the rear seats is probably touching the roof. And I think thats a ZE under the hood, can't really tell.
Gotta give the guy props for doing that, that's quite a show car.
He's from VA, how come he didn't show up to any of our meets???

Re: Xtreme MX-3
Ehh-- Mostly ugly but quite a lot of custom work.
It does prove that 19's can fit the MX-3 though..
If he hadn't painted around the lights on the front it would look a little nicer...
And the polk-dot paint job is awful.
Gotta give him some props though on being original.
Re: Xtreme MX-3
Didn't want to say anything but that is ugly. I do love mx-3's but come on now, thats just bad.

Re: Xtreme MX-3
Nice widebody kit, Nice headlight, Ugly Rear right, Ugly Paint job
Re: Xtreme MX-3
Ummmm eclipse tails and civic headlights, I dont know sounds like a wannabe. Just another case of someone with no taste and too much money.
Re: Xtreme MX-3
Well I dont like the tail-lights, I hate the paint job and I still have to understand why anyone would place screens on the back of the rear seatbelt holders. I mean for me it would make sense if they were placed where people in the car could actually see them. As they are right now, you have to stand behind the car and the hatch have to be opened to to see it.. it makes no sense to me.
However I have to give him credit for going all the way, coz it a rather good job that have been done.
Unfortunately I just find the end result disgusting.

Re: Xtreme MX-3
I love the engine bay, but it reminds me too much of the purple eclipse off of 2 fast.
Re: Xtreme MX-3
I agree I am not relay feeling the paint job. Probably would look a lot better with different one. Well, that's just my option. But you have to respect all the time and money put in to it.

He no longer is co-owner of the shop in Chesapeake, so I do not have his phone number. Next time I see him at the show I will let him know. This is the 5th or 6th look he has had for the car. And as far as I know he still has the stock 4cyl dohc engine.
(just added 2 new pics)
[ July 05, 2003: Message edited by: THStrumpet ]
