my gunmetal mx-3
ok people your opinion. i don't mind good or bad opinions as long as OTHER mx3 members don't argue with each other.
basically, this is as simple as i want to be and still have a little aggresiveness. as you can see, i'll have some 17x7.5 buddy club bronze RIMS, regular stock hatch garnish (i know there's a spoiler in the pic.. i couldn't psp it out), a stock v6 lip spoiler, fx or onderground sides (or maybe the new gforce ones), and the onderground rear. the color of the car will be a medium gunmetal. the hood and lip will be a slightly darker gunmetal (not to imitate cf, just to be different) and the headlights, turnsignals, and front sidemarkers will be SLIGHTLY smoked to a light gray. i plan on keeping my rear plate i just wanted to see what it'd look like.
copy and paste link: http://www.geocities.com/driftingboogie/vhtnight_front.jpg
http://www.geocities.com/driftingboogie/vhtnight_rear.jpg
sorry to whoever's car i used.. i hope i have your permission to keep these pics up.

Re: my gunmetal mx-3
I think it looks gay with those rims and stock signal lenses. Just my .02 cents ...

Re: my gunmetal mx-3
you don't think the stock sidemarkers make it look more 'subtle'? i think clear lenses would contrast the color scheme too much.

Re: my gunmetal mx-3
The gunmetal color and the rims match perfectly. Really love the color, very original too. I suggest a smoked turn signal and side marker rather than the stock amber color. I was also looking at your interior pictures, and i suggest you change the color of the interior too, since it wont match the external color of the car @ all.
but thumbs up for the color and the rims.

Re: my gunmetal mx-3
actually im smoking them out too, but not to full black, just to a light gray and where you can still see some of the amber.
about the interior, i think it'll match ok. aside from the black and white interior, im going to have a lot of polished aluminum parts for the euro-spec look such as gauge bezel, pedals, door sills, headunit, gunmetal shift knob, rear strut bar, etc. to help contrast the interior a bit more.

Has a "goth" look to it (not saying that's good or bad) - just the impression I get from looking at it. If that's what you were going for, then I'd say you're heading in the right direction.

Re: my gunmetal mx-3
not really goth... i like to call it more 'stealth'.. heh. i like how dark colors really hide the bodylines of the mx-3 and make it so mysterious.

Re: my gunmetal mx-3
Dude, im surprised at the bad taste on these boards. Your nuts if you dont like that gunmetal, that makes it look SOOOOOo sick. I totally say go for it, that color is like one of the sickest colors, and the rims fit it pretty darn good.
