Is a camber kit necessary?
What is a camber kit? Is it necessary to get one when you drop your suspension?

Re: Is a camber kit necessary?
For our cars, if you go lower than about 1.5" drop from stock, you will need some sort of additional camber adjustment kit. These usually are in the form of eccentric bolts, which you'll need four of (one per strut). These are usually sold as pairs for front and rear.
Ground Control also makes camber/caster plates for the front only - they will allow more precise adjustment, and also allow you to adjust caster, but they are much more expensive than the camber bolt kits.

I was was planning to install my tokicos and ST springs this weekend (ST=1.3 inch drop). Are they still necessary for such a small drop? If so, how much are they and where can I get them?

Would a simple alignement after the suspension upgrade do the job?

Re: Is a camber kit necessary?
when i dropped my car 2.5" appro. (yes it was slammed but the ride SuCkEd) i ran through a BRAND new set of tires in 4 months, there's a good comparison (SP?) for you. to be honest i would just get it aligned after you drop it... as long as it isnt more than 1.5" (stated above). i really need to lower it again :p !!

Re: Is a camber kit necessary?
so camber is adjustable on these cars OEM? Sweet! ( Lots of cars have non adjustable camber from the factory, i.e no ecentric bolts)
