I already got a company to make bushings for our car, front control arm, shifter extension rod and rear trailing arm.
That whiteline swaybar is sweet! if a bb happens, count me in.

Now this is a suspension part that actually WILL help handling, a very noticeable difference. I don't know about some of you, but my GS understeers like a b*tch, way worse than my Protege ever did. And a mild swaybar in the rear will be a definite improvement for my suspension.

So how is this going to work? one of us is going to basically buy 5 or 10 swaybars from Whiteline, have it shipped to their place, then ship the bars out to everyone who bought them in the GroupBuy?
I just went on their site. The Part number for the bar is BMR57, which lists for $156.95 austrailian dollars. With current exchange rates, the AUD dollar is .67 of a US dollar, so the total price per bar is about $105, excluding shipping.
the real problem is shipping. I got the quote for shipping for 10 bars, and it was $660 AUD, which is ridiculous. I think if we called them up, we could get a better rate. I don't see how it could be more than 400 AUD.
If we end up paying the 660 for shipping for 10 bars...the total cost is like 2200 AUD, divide the total costs up by 10 and you are looking at about 148 USD per bar excluding shipping to each person's house, which will be about 15 each or so.
So..how are we going to do this? it seems this is a canada only GB so far? I could do the one for US buyers since I could get some Protege guys, and maybe even Festiva, and Hyundai guys involved in buying stuff from them to maybe get a huge discount, and save a lot on shipping. I know a lot of people who are interested in whiteline products...i know I could get a few more.

first off, I don't think shipping individually from australia will save us any money. I think that we should have them ship all off them to the closest state. I don't know which state is closer: florida or california. any other Ideas?
I want more then 10 on this groupbuy. I am thinking
at least 25. This groupbuy is for all north americans(USA,Canada).
Can we all come up with a price that everyone can agree on before I call them. That way I could have an Idea how much to target for.
Gro harlem---- what are u selling? Did I miss something?
BTW Please post only if you are serious about participating in this groupbuy.

it would be 50x cheaper and easier if we have seperate groupbuys...one guy in canada, and another in USA>
i checked their freight prices...canada is more expesnive for some reason (by about 15%) to ship to than the USA from austrailia.
If we shipped them all to somewhere in canada, we'd likely pay more for shipping, then the USA guys would have to pay out the *** for shipping from canada to USA b/c of customs (which i know would be a problem for a rather large package like a swaybar).
I dunno....whatever people decide i guess....we need to get in touch with whiteline and figure out how much shipping will be, and how they are going to ship them (in 10 seperate boxes, all tied together, or one big box...). Because if we get 10 bars, all shipped together in one box, someone wouldh ave to find 9 boxes to pack them up in).
