ZX2 + ST springs

Post by rentd »

Are ZX2 struts and Suspension Tech 1,3" springs good to use on MX-3 1,8L V-6?
And BTW: what are the diff. between MX-3 GS and RS? Here in Europe aren´t they marked this way. Personally i owe MX-3 Precidia 1,8L V-6. Is that GS or RS?

The GS had the V6, the RS had the 4-cyl. The GS also had the 15" alloys, rear lower tie bar, front air dam, rear spoiler and other niceties. It came as a package. In 1995 (the last year for teh MX-3 in the U.S.) there was no V6, just a 4-cyl, but it looked like a GS.
Oh, and I don't know about the springs/struts for sure, but I see no reason why they wouldn't work fine. I know the ZX2 struts are good and will work, and Suspension Techniques is a good brand so it should be fine.
[ April 02, 2003: Message edited by: JasonH ]

Do those who use this combo, order ST springs for an Mx3 or for the zx2? Also, How much of a gap is left above the tire after installing this combo. I heard the Zx2 strut is about 1/2 shorter, so I assume the drop is about 1.8 inches?

ANSWER: MX-3
Also, How much of a gap is left above the tire after installing this combo.
ANSWER: The front is perfect, the rear still has a small gap...but it's noticably lowered. At least that's how it is on mine.

ANSWER: You would think so, but it only seemed to help like ~.3", so i dunno :\.
