Camber settings

Post by zytariuk »

I've already established that I will need 4 camber bolts (since my car is lowered ~1.5")...
- What are acceptable alignment specs for a 92' MX-3 GS, so that my tires don't wear out faster than they should.
I was just reading a post from another member here on mx-3.com that got his alignment done a couple days ago (without camber bolts) and he had Front left -2.49, Front right -2.23, Left rear -3.02, Right rear -3.19....will just camber bolts fix his situation?
[ April 01, 2003: Message edited by: zytariuk ]

The camber bolts I had changed the settings ~1-1.2 degrees on the front.
Within "acceptable" ranges is subjective. How long do you want your tires to last? How do you drive? What kind of tires do you have?
My street tires have lasted over 20,000 miles, while my race tires barely make it to 80....so go figure. Same alignment settings.

70,000km's (That's what the 'warranty' is on em')
How do you drive?
I usually drive about 20km/h over posted speed limit (in-town and highway). Though, sometimes on the highway i'll get up too ~210km/h to get my speed fix...this is only like once a week though.
What kind of tires do you have?
