Annoying clunking.....
First of all my car is a 92 GS with GC coilovers and Tokico Premium shocks(bad idea). I recently (yesterday) installed new link kits on my car and it eliminated the noise for a little time, until 6 hours later the clunking sound came, but in minor proportion. This only happens when i turn to the right, standing or going, its not my CV joints(they were fixed 3 months ago) i think its something related to the strut mounts(it seems the noise comes from there) or maybe engine mounts. That damn noise is driving me crazy. Please help!!

I'm just wondering why you think Tokico shocks are a bad idea? Thanks.
Steve

Check your engin mounts, very common noise that occurs when they go out, they could be already metal on metal bad idea, i had my car ridding like that for almost a year untill i decided i would take a praying guess, and found out what the problem was, but only after spending 300 dallors on buying everything on the right side new. check out your mounts!
Keep smiling, It keeps people wondering what you are doing!

Yeah, it happens when i brake too hard or accelerate hard, but i still havent figured out why still has that noise. My car is in the body shop so i will have to wait a little bit.
Im going to check the link kits to see if they have any anomaly.

This kind of problem its very common and should be posted on the Suspension FAQ. I found out that one of the thinks that can alleviate this problem is changing the Link kits since it stops a lot of clunking.

Re: Annoying clunking.....
strut mounts and motor mounts could be the culprit too.
