coilovers question

I read alot on here that if you want coilovers you should get new struts that can handle them which i understand, but what if you get coilovers and dont lower them to there max and keep them lowered around mid range will you still need really hi performance struts or could you get the KYB GR2 gas struts and have them be able to support the coilovers?

Ride height does NOT matter in choosing if you need good aftermarket struts. You still need them, even if you RAISE the car. Its spring rate that the struts see, not height.<p>[ January 17, 2003: Message edited by: ProtegeSTS ]</p>
