Clunking or Popping or Grinding...Oh my... :(
Whenever I turn my wheel a decent degree (I'd say around 40 degrees or more, towards 90 degrees) I hear a clunking or popping or grinding sound from the wheel well (I'm pretty sure it's there). It does not appear to happen when just going around a normal street corner, but when turning from a parking spot, stop sign, etc, it's there, and decently loud too.
Any suggestions???
Thanks.
~A

What should I look for?
The CV joints have a rubber boot over them right? The axle thing that turns the wheels??
How do I inspect the bearings???
Thanks.

This question gets asked about once a week.
CV joints, take it to an axle rebuilder or buy rebuilt axles at the parts store of your choice and DIY. Me, I take mine to a rebuilder since I don't mind paying a little extra to avoid wrestling with those damn axles.
