Escort coilovers
Escort coilovers
because the last post was closed for no reason im gonna start this up again for contructive critisism and to let you guys know I will be trying coilovers made for the escort which supposedly fit our cars. I know the moderators say it will work, but unless anyone has tried who knows, why the closed the post is beyond me. I will get the coilovers sometime this week, after I get a email back about selectable spring rates. Then if I can get ahold of some struts I might install them. However it is winter here, and I might not want to lower my car just yet. ill keep ya posted
-Ryan

Re: Escort coilovers
You would still greatly benefit from adding struts now. How much they are dropped has ZERO bearing on if you need struts or not. Its based on what the spring rate is.
The last thread was closed because the original question was answered. There was no more to discuss.
You even said the part numbers were the same. Saying that they might not fit is pretty dumb at this point. I dont know anyone who has swapped a KF into a MX-3 offhand, but its the SAME block as the K8, so my GUESS would be that it'd work. Do you also find fault with this logic?

no I dont see fault with it, I jsut rather see it done then say it will work, hence me doing it so the debate will be over. Im 99.9% sure it will work, so i dont doubt you, I just like to see it to believe it.
My struts will definatlly be replaced just not sure what I want to get yet. I dont need 200$ a piece struts, but im not sure If I wanna modify zx2 struts. From what I can gather if you get the thrust bearings for the zx2 you only have to modify the upper spring perch to fit a circle bearing instead of one with two flat spots?
