Eibach Pro Kit springs

Post by 2.5mx3 »

Anyone know what the spring rate was for the Eibach Pro kit for the MX? I have a set on now, and I'm just curious how they're going to compare to the GC coilovers.
Thanks!

no...
The GCs use Eibach ERS springs, their linear rate, "race" spring. Basically, its a standard 2.5" diameter spring. The Prokits are just really soft lowering springs.

Interesting though, I didn't know that they were Eibach ERS springs.
I just put together my MS struts and coilover assembly. WOW it looks funky with the flourescent green struts, red springs and gold spring perch! It's almost too bad they'll be hidden under the car...
Btw, I had to use thinner O-rings to get the sleeve on the strut. The ones that GC provided were way too thick to use with the MS strut. Maybe the cylinder is a little larger than the Tokico's? I won't know until I get them off the car.
Anyway, cheers. :)
[ November 06, 2002: Message edited by: 2.5mx3 ]

My rear Tokicos should be here any day, and when they do arrive, I'll be putting everything on! I'll post my driving impressions when that happens. :) And Shaun, if you're reading this, those Eibachs are still yours if you want them.
