tire wear

Post by Ryencool »

What would cause uneven tire wear on my front drivers side tire? the inside is severyl worn and its only a year old?? I would get an alignment to see but if its just the struts then I can go ahead and order them. IS there anyways I can narrow it down to the struts being bent or somthing without taking it in and paying for it? I was tolled I needed new struts when I bought it 2 years ago jsut never did it...should I get zx2 struts put them on then get an aligntmetn and hope it changes??

It may simply just be out of alignment, over time that can happen. If the tire is worn down a lot then it's probably been out of alignment for some time already.

so I should just get the zx2 struts ( cause I need em anyways ) and put them on hten take it to get aligned and see what it does after that? im gonna lower it, just not till after winter so the stock spring will hold good for the winter with zx2's correct? thanks again guys.
Protege you should save up for a new Mazdaspeed protege, and ride the bus for a bit ;)

The zx2s are ok w/ the stock springs, but if you're going to lower it, it's a lot easier to put lowering springs on when you change the struts over.
Good Luck
