Is it reasonable to go without boots

Post by tk1138 »

I've converted to the ZX2 struts, but my boots on the back Were disintegrated. I've installed the bump-stops.
A guy at a 4x4 shop I talked to said you don't need them unless rocks could damage the strut..., Is this legit? Am I safe till road salt season, and then need to get some? Are all the shops in CO on crack what with the cutting coils & heating springs...
thanks
tk1138
There's not really anything I want to say over and over.
