Hey DJGypsy, that's a great piece of info. I think I'm sold.
However, don't get mad at STS. He seems to keep things in check around here. For instance I think that you may mean that your ride is stiffer or tighter around the corners as there is still body roll. You're not driving a GO-KART.
one

ok ProtegeSTS, i'm looking to fill my head here...i know that the bar won't eliminate the body roll...i do know if you tighten up the front end like that, the car will have more of a tendancy to understeer...so tell me then, what is it that makes my car feel more stable in higher speed turns now that the bar is in place?...seeking knowledge here.... It makes things "more stable", which is exactly what you said. Thats all it does. Its going to increase the responsiveness of the car, and stop some chassis flex.

I recently installed both front and rear braces. Front took 10 mins and the rear took about 40 mins. Either way it was very easy if you got the right tools. I took it for a test drive and these are my results:

Higher speeds on turns are way more stable & more incontrol
Low speed turns the car doesn't lean at all almost.
Overall this was a great mod for $50. Just great overall performance. Nuff said.....

I didn't feel much of a difference when I installed my strut tower braces, as far handling is concerned. The biggest difference I noticed is that when I hit bumps with only one side (left or right) of the car, I can feel the bump more on the side that didn't hit the bump, since the chassis is stiffer. I think this is called "bump steer", correct me if I'm wrong, suspension guru's.
