TOKICO struts and what springs....???
here is the question, and I need some answers or advice. I purchased tokico struts for my mx, and now iam deciding what springs to get. The choices were narrowed down to Intrax, Suspension Techniques and Eibach.
What iam most concerned about is the ride quality, since the car is my everyday driver.
I know that Intrax will lower approximately 1.75, Sus. Tech about 1.3, and Eibachs are 1.5. Any suggestions (with a little explanation might help)...
also will the ride quality suffer if i drop it more than 1.5???
thanks in advance

Re: TOKICO struts and what springs....???
I think the Eibach spring rates are matched to the Tokico's damping rate

eibach or suspension techniques.
Either will ride nicely. It will be stiffer than stock, but thats the price you have to pay to get a car that will handle well and be lower. Either one should do you well.
The Intraxx are just too low in my opinion, you'll run out of suspension travel before you know it.

From what I know Eibach doesn't make springs for the MX anymore, but a set always pops up here and there.

ones for a 91-96 Escort or 90-94 Protege would also work...usually a little less stiff and a little higher...but not much.

Re: TOKICO struts and what springs....???
here is what i went with:
tokocos for zx2 and H&R's. The car rides great now, not too stiff, and not too low. Approximately 1.4 inches.
That mod was pretty easy, and I didn't even have to use spring compressor for the rear. But the front was a pain in the a--. Altogether it took about 5 hrs, with 2 trips to the nearby auto supply store.

Re: TOKICO struts and what springs....???
Heather,
I did all the work myself, the usual prices around here are Installation: $50 per corner plus around $65 for an alignment. I had the alignment done, but they said that they couldn't fix the camber, and I will have to get a camber kit.
