Very annoying noise/vibration
Very annoying noise/vibration
I have been suffering noise/vibration from the front drivers side wheel area for a while now. The problem arises when any load is placed on the drivers side, ie when cornering to the opposite direction or over large bumps. It feels as though you are going over a rapid series of small bumps, you can feel vibration throught the floor of the car. I have replaced cv joints, anti roll link bars and the front shock absorbers to no avail. Replacing the shocks has helped but the problem is still there. Anyone any ideas before i go mad please?

i had the same thing.. I replaced struts (shocks) springs, and wheel bearings.. the only thing that had any effect was the wheel bearings.. it's a LOT better.. but I can still make the problem happen.. only when I push it though.. get your bearings looked into..
other things that have been suggested to me are a bent drive shaft.. not sure about this though.. hope it helps..

Yeah I have that problem also. How much is it to replace the wheel bearings generally? And is it advised to change both L/R wheel bearings at the same time?

Got both of my front wheel bearings replaced in it fixed it! No more sound/vibration. But it cost me 470 bucks!

if it's the axle it will vibrate on hard acceleration...I would agree with the wheel bearings

Re: Very annoying noise/vibration
I had my wheel bearings done, axles, springs everything was great, then I put the front srtut bar on and at 3000RPMs I get an annoying vibrating buzz noise on the passenger side, it generally goes away again at 4000RPM but it's still really annoying for the time that it does make noise...any ideas.

your strut brace is rubbing on the top of your engine.. look for marks on your manifold and on the underside of your brace.. I BET this is it..
@ds
PS Let me know how you go..
