Front stabalizer links replacing ("clunk")

Post by A.S. »

The front stabalizer links have been recalled and they tend to break very easily ant the links and bushings need to be replaced. Mine just went and after changing the cv's, ball joints, struts, and bearings I found out that the loud "clunk"is the stabalizer that has been shifted over. I'm now broke and still need to replace the links. Since theyve been recalled, does that mean that Mazda will replace them for free? If not, how much will it cost?

Good question dude.

I went in for a multi-point inspection, and they told me all my links were busted and want to charge me $473.08 for them.
It only sounded like my passenger side rear was clunking. Especially notice this in the winter when everything is so damn cold.

where'd you get the end links at. I'm planning on replacing mine in the spring but haven't yet looked into where to get the parts.

I beleive there is an upgraded bar link that was avalable from Mazda for a while. The cost difference between old and new is small. Have not heard of any recalls though. Try Mazda Competition for bar links.
