Wooah! I have been without working on my engine for two months at least! I spent lots of time to find forged pistons for the Kl engine whitout any succes until I found one guy at probetalk who was selling a kit! I was so stoked that I purchased them immediatly. The drawback was that they weren't the 0'030 overbore he claimed, they were bored to 87mm and the wrist pins were huge!! The MF managed to not refund me my money, as he claimed that it has explained me that correctly ( do the math...as I can't) so I lost 700$ and got 6 good looking pistons to decore my room...
I was so pissed that I decided to use the stock ones in conjunction with my pauter rods.I asked a Porsche mechanic how the pistons look like for F.I. and he told me that aren't really that bad, and that forged pistons tend to expand really big under high temperatures.I cut the original wrist pins (not really hard to do with carbon fiber cutting disks) and today I have received the new wrist pins. I will machine the C-clips housing on my stock pistons, which are in perfect shape, and close the block by next weekend!!!
I will receive a set of 6 brand new injectors which are rated at 29lbs by monday, which I will use in conjunction with my Kl ones, controlled via a 034 ECU. I have also purchased a toyota celica 4wd water-cooled intercooler which looks promising and won't cause me the hassle to run piping for a front mounted one! I must source a reliable water pump 12v operated and a small water radiator(not hard to do as I own a motorcycle shop) and of course a water tank...
What I still need to buy are the Kl ECU-VAF combo, which isn't really too hard to purchase on Probetalk.com. First I will run the stock Kl engine with stock exhaust for a month, where I will pass the smog inspection and do a little run in procces for the new clutch, piston rings, bearings,...
I must finish also my fuel delivery system, which is truely "home depot" and allows to run the six additional injectors through reliable components.I have a friend who works in an industrial components shop and gave me a index manual so I designed the system with existing components! ( I think it's the first time I do something this way...) I will take pictures of it before mounting, so everyone can understand how it works, or correct me if I am wrong...
I am also building on a transmision saver, based on the CZT one, but I plan to hug more bolts forward to the clutch bell to reinforce it.
I think I'm not missing anything! I'm really glad to work on the engine again! Sorry for the long post but I have been stuck for so long!!!

Man that really sucks about those pistons. $700 is a lot to drop. Try selling them back on that board. Maybe you can get some of your money back and let someone else mess with them.
How much boost do you plan to run? With all that engine work, provided you have enough fuel and cool intake charge, which it sounds like you will I think 15 psi is easily possible. That should be wicked quick!
What year is your car? If it's a 93 (with the 3rd coolant neck sensor) I have a KL07 ecu I will sell you cheap.
Keep us updated!

That's the boost level I planned to run! however I will run a three stage boost controller, where position 1 will be no boost, the 2nd 8 psi boost and the third 15 psi, which I will activate through a switch on my steering wheel ( I think I have watched too much movies...)
I will check what year my engine is, thanks!!!

I couldn't find out what year my engine is, but I checked and it has two thermosensors and three cooling necks, maybe is the one you mention!

Nice work! But I have a quick question. Why not just buy the CZT Forged Internals set?

Re: Jump start to my Kl turbo engine
I finally have the Kl installed on my car (thanks to summertime!!) I had 500Km on It and feels real strong! However I still had the K8 manifold and Ecu because I am currently modifying the Kl manifold to accept the 6 additional injectors! I managed to make the car run perfect with K8 ecu thanks to my my S/afc, and thanks that I have A/F and EGT gauges. (I make proof that the S/afc really works on this ECU!!!!).I will also replace my turbo bearing section, because I find a little bit of play on the shaft and build some heat shields reinforcments and brackets on my exhaust piping. I must also finish the Water air intercooler installation and the aquamist system for +13psi boost(I would really hate to find a preignited piston after all this hard work) I suppose that by the beggining of the next month I will have my car boosted again, I will show you updated pics as soon I will be progressing
