I have some extremely slight knowladge of a 323 gtx that was available in the states in the late 80's this car was a 1.6L DOHC with not only intercooled turbo but AWD is there any relation from that engine to the mx3 dohc engine... and lastly how about the AWD system in it? if the turbo and manifold set up can be put into the mx3 that would be wonderful for those of us wanting to put turbo's on our mx3 and if that transmission and AWD train can be put in also imagine the possibilities.

I am pretty sure that was the B6T.
If you have the 1.6 DOHC in your car, the B6T manifold will bolt up.
I am not even going to comment about the AWD thing... you should know that by now.

Re: A-spec 323 gtx?
actually the awd chasis from those cars is the same as the MX 3 chassis and with some money and mods you can make your mx3 AWD. Apparently someone up in quebec has this done(not sure if its true).
our chassis type is EC i think.

Yes our chassis is the EC type, but they're not 100% the same as the older 323 gtx models. You would need to have a lot of money, time, and patience. It may be possible though.Originally posted by DavidOS:

Re: A-spec 323 gtx?
the AWD 323 GTX isnt event the same as the FWD 323.
the rear floor is different, as is the fuel tank, rear suspension, rear subframe, front and rear axles, front hubs , front rotors, ect.
its not like they built all the 323's so they could just swap in a diff and some axles and they would be AWD.
The AWD cars are special.
