Intercooler Size and how the hell do I fit it???

Man, I thought fitting an FMIC on my mx6 would be tough until I looked at my mx-3!

I was thinking about buying one of the Spearco ones off ebay, but is 3" too thick? What have you guys done and do you have pics? I tried fitting a grand prix 3.1L bar & plate intercooler but the inlet and outlets face all wrong directions. What should I use? side in, side out? top in, top out? Thanks

Order one from CorkSport. Tell them you want a front mount, its made by Spearco and they weld on the end tanks to fit the mx-3. I have pics of mine on my cardomain site.

Hey I really like that. was there any cutting involved with the front end to fit pipes? This is a side inlet and outlet correct?
One thing though, corksport charges an arm and a leg for stuff tho.. mind if I ask how much you paid?

I think it was about $550USD. The inlet and outlet are on the sides and yeah there was a little bit of cutting involved to run the pipes but nothing to involved. Its expensive but its a real nice intercooler.
