fuel surge tank

i was wondering if anyone has had any experience with fuel surge tanks? the reason i ask is because when i'm under boost(heavy acceleration) my gas needle will drop 1/8th-1/4 of a tank. so much so that if i have a 1/4 tank of gas when i hook up and go the gas light comes on.
i know this can't be good and have heard of 323 guys killing their engines this way.

this is what im talking about. so my question is does anyone know where to get one and can some one go in depth on running the lines for me? thanx in advance for any help.
