BPT swap ? (Running problem)

Post by mclaw-mclaren »

Hello, i just got the bpt swap done and it is having a few problems just wanna see if anyone has and ideas.
I have done, 255 fuel pump, Rx-7 MAF, stock injectors, S-AFC, ob1 wiring, gtx turbo ECU

here is the problem, it has problems starting i have to leave my key in the ON position for about 30 seconds before she will fire (when cold)if lucky
When it does get running, it idles really crazy. It may be at 900-1000 then drop down to 100-200 and u have to really give it gas to keep it running then it will shoot up again, and so on and so on. Once it is warm it does not do this, it idles a little rough but nothing really to worry about right now.

if u need to know what else is done let me know

THanks for your suggestions!
Travis

try turning the key to start it w/o pressing in the clutch. stop, push in the cluch, then start the car.

Did you splice your SOHC wires? If not, the firing won't be ok until then..

88 and 89 MAF from Rx-7 are different..

you need one from a 86-87-88. Marked B on it. Our stock one is marked S on it. There is a badge on it to tell from..

And btw, it is not a MAF, but a VAF, since it is using a trap door.. The 94+RS use a MAF. The GS always used a MAF
