ssautochrome headers for turbo primaries?

Post by Sean Mandell »

Can I mod these headers for my turbo project or are the primaries too long? I wanted to use a t3/to4 hybid and since I have no a/c can I mount it in that spot instead of the usual battery spot.

just curious..can somebody answer the Q about the headers being used for trubo primaries...I know most of people use stock mani or hotshot's primarie but can autochrome primaries be better than hotshots..i heard they have bigger primaries.(1-5/8 instead of 1-1/2)

I would think you'd want smaller primaries to increase the exhaust velocity and get your turbos spinning sooner. If you went with larger primaries, I believe you'd have to wait till higher RPMs to get the turbo going.
