If you skimp on the fuel system, why not just throw your motor away?
If you are considering a standalone, don't buy a rrfpr as you don't need it once you go that way. You will want a piggyback at the very least to control the fuel.

In my mind, a fuel computer is mandatory. Spend the money and get an E-Manage as it offers more control than the S-AFC at a relatively close cost. You can skip the rrfpr with it as you can control the injectors much better. Get the pump and injectors of choice, I would recommend the E01 boost controller as well.

Re: Fuel delivery confusion for dohc turbo project
On my 94 DOHC I decided to go with 370CC injectors along with an RX7 fuel pump, AFC, and a RRFPR. I had heard all too often of people having fuel problems so I decided to eliminate that first and foremost. I can and have ran 13 pounds safely at the track with no detonation or fuel starvation.

Are you talking about the AFC with knobs? Those are useless. There is no way to adjust for high/low loads on it. Which completely defeats the purpose of buying it. Just get the S-AFC either of the two of that version will work fine.
If you are only planning to go to 6psi a RRFPR will work just fine with an upgraded fuel pump. Any of the brand name regulators will work just fine for you.
