EGT gauge problems

Yesterday I was setting up my A/F ratio, and my autometer EGT has stuck at 800ºC. I stopped the car and the needle didn´t move, I unplug the electrical connectors and it remained there. When I put the key on the "on" position, it moves slightly forward, but not really much. Has anyone had any problems with his gauge?
