Car cuts out past 10psi?

Just as it says. Anything past 10 and the car cuts out/over revs. My shift light comes on and the car just bogs and has no power. Any ideas?

Thats kinda what I am guessing...but why the shift light kickin on? I have it set for 6200rpm and im not even close...maybe 5500 when it goes off and the engine starts to cut.

where is your tach hooked up to? sounds like ignition. if your hooked up to a coil, it may be failing. sounds like ignition to me though. dont know of anything else that could send a fase signal to the tach and make the car cut out. so start there. maybe msd of some sort?keep us posted.

i just helped one of my friends put his turbo on and its doing the same thing, he has a fuel regulater and everything but it still cuts off after like 5000-5500 is your fuel thats what we thing it is he hasent upgraded his fuel rails they are stock 2.5 GT rails. After that i dont thing he should have a problem. Go on www.probetalk.com post on there and make sure but thats what we thing is the problem with his... On the shift light going off when the car dies i really dont know did you hook up your shift like to Tack yellow/blue wire at the distributer? and run a constant 12V from Batter and get a good ground.

Well I am pretty darn sure its fuel. Maybe the fuel cuts out due to the injectors getting maxed out. Puttin in a set of 370cc as we speak.

why is it causing the shift light to come on? cutting out would be a different story all together but, to through some whacky signals out is what led me to believe it was ignition. unlees the tach is messed up. oh well , let us know

Well I had the injectors already so that is why they're goin in. I'm also taking out all the egr stuff and wiring while I am at it. Think I am gonna go with MSD SCI but not all sure how to install....

Well here is one idea, do you go lean at that point? If you have a A/F guage then you'll know and if you start getting a lean condition then thats gonna be your problem. If it not getting a lean condition then i would say that your ignition just cant get it there. Now, Can you turn down the boost and it work properly?

Just an update. I added my injectors and played with the AFC. No more funky cut and no more shiftlight. I can safely boost past 10psi now! Went up to 12 without a problem!
