Nitrous on A GS

Post by Stevekowalchuk »

Heres the skinny, I have a 1996 MX-3 GS (OBD-II) 5spd. Was looking at all the different NO2 setups. I have stock internals with upgraded wires. Now. Heres my questions.
1.On a DRY shot like ZEX, How much of a shot can I run if I keep the A/F Rich?
2.On a WET shot......... Direct port or in the snorkel...how much of a shot?

Zex claims that their kits were made to run on stock cars(fuel, ignition).
The biggest shot that comes with the kit is 75 H.P. But I would put in a good set if plugs like NGK iridum first. and make sure that the cap, rotor and wires are good.(less than 30,000 KM). if not then put on a good up graded wire set like NGK or Taylor or Magnacore.
I would keep the 75 shot for grudge races only, and stick to the 55 shot for fun and profit :D .

get a better fuel pump and new fuel filter then stick with a 55 dry on the zex.....a wet setup is far superior you could run a 75-65 shot easy with no worries what so ever...but you will need to upgrade your clutch to handle this...jsut remember it's better to be safe then sorry...check this out so you have some info on nitrious before you use it http://www.importtuner.com/archives/tec ... 3.shtml
