Turbo Ratio sizing?

Post by JCali »

Sup Guys...
This post is for peeps that know their Turbos. I'm still getting my feet wet with the idea of putting on a turbo to my mx-3...I would like to do it after the KLZE...I know there isn't much room left in the engine bay. And since the KLZE can handle around 8 to 10 PSI...so buying a T3/T4 Hybrid wouldn't do squat more than VJ...But what other small Turbos exist that use 5-8 PSI...nothing major, but I like the sound off a blow off valve. Cause with a bit of custom work and a small turbo- a decent system could run $1500-max! I'm looking just to add 40-65Hp on top of the KLZE with a nitrous shot...run over 300...And That's plenty. and in the mid 13's.
JCali

The ones around here are only $50. If you cant find one cheaper let me know and I'll get you one. Peace

Go buy "Maximum Boost" by Corky Bell for all the info on sizing.
Just so you know, 8psi on a VJ11 is different than on a T66, T88, T4, T3/T4, T25, T28, 16G, etc.
