Dave Lauzier is the fastest in North America, specifically Quebec. He runs consistent 11s, but I think he has hit the 10s lately. Last I heard he was running around 550whp. Uses a BP motor, internals are from Rod Millen's old 323 race car.
Other than that I would say Jeff Abrams car is next. I think he is running low 13s with a supercharged KL.
You could always say that Marcos Acosta is the fastest but his isn't really an MX-3.

And its RWD, which is somewhat odd for a MX-3, wouldnt you say? So this is why they dont really count him.
And Dave Lauzier sold his turbo setup a long time ago. Trap speeds were somewhere around 14X....he could never get his traction issues corrected. Oh, and the other thing about Dave's setup was that he daily drove it.

marcos acosta is dominican, not puerto rican. don't know how he changed his drivetrain to rwd, but it is a mx3.
Fast imports only come on two wheels.
