1992-96 dashboard swap question?

Is it hard to install the updated 1996 style mx3 dashboard to replace the old 1992 style?
1992 mx3gs.

No, you need alot of patience. Theres alot of hidden screws and you have to make some brackets and may have to swap your heater unit.

Thanx! I already have the dash and all the plastic pipes to route the heat under the dash to the differently located vents on the new dash. I also have the heater controls but what do you mean by the heater unit? I just got back from ontario and only shipped the dash and heat controls.

Heater units are just like your cluster, some are mechanical, others are digital. If your car is mechanical, with the cables to turn the vents, and you have the digital heater unit from your newer dash, it won't fit. Need to match it up.

Thank you. The dash is from a 96 mazda. The heater unit looks the same as the one on my 1992 style dash and uses cables to pull the vents so Its mechanical. Thanx for your help!
