Re: cleaning aluminum factory wheels?
okay, here we go. I used spray on "oven cleaner" and steel wool. I would NOT recommend this on nice rims or chrome, but it worked amazing on my 15" stock alloys. Soak one of the rims with water, spray oven cleaner liberally over the rim (watch out for wind, that stuff is corrosive) and use a rubber glove and steel wool, and they rims come out brand spanking new. Do this too many times and there wont be any paint left...but a few times doesn't hurt. Also, I suppose you could sandblast them and repaint them. But these rims aren't worth the time or money, in my opinion.

get eagle one etching cleaner.
it's quick, easy and the rims look like new when your done. and you don't need a lot of elbow grease either.
