PAINTING VALVE COVER

Post by sweetmx3 »

I want to know what would be the best way to clean up the valve cover than paint it with that high heat red paint thanks.

you'll like the results a lot better if you have it powdercoated. to really clean it up, you should sandblast it, but most powdercoating places can do this.
Fast imports only come on two wheels.

looks nice, but it might be a problem trying to fit a v6 valve cover onto a 4cyl engine. :freak:

If you're not interested in paying a wack of money for powder coating or plating for that matter, I used a coarse steel wire brush, then sanded with 5 different grits from 60 to 1000. I then used 5 coates of that high heat clear coat from crappy tire.
Sorry, I have no pics to show as I've lost my digicam.
