pics of my new interior

Post by killerpickle »

Well, here are the pics of my new interior (finally...) including a new shift boot (leather w/ red stitching). The material on the seats is a synthetic leather. Unfortunately I couldn't use the same material for the door panels, they had to be done in a "super stretch" material so I matched the colour as best as I could. Its off by a shade or two, but matches close enough. I've always wanted a "leather" interior and this is about as close as I can get without spending the 1800 dollars they wanted. The feel and texture is amazing on the seats - like real leather. Anyway, here they are.

I got the seats done at goldstar in hamilton for 700
The door panels were done at a place in markham for 300 (75 each). I dont know the name of the place off hand, they were sent there to get done by one of the shops I go to.

The shift boot was cheap. 30 dollars and its real leather with red stitching - easy to install too. Instructions and more info are on my webpage.

its virtually the same thing yet, in all the books of fabric I looked at, they had one that had all dull finishes - they called them leatherette. it has a leather feel to it and a very nice texture. Vinyl is such a broad - misused term.

leatherette is a vynal its just a fancy brand name thats been around for a long time like windsurfer, nauga soft, ultra soft and so on. The newsest thing that is on the market that they claim is closest to leather is ultra leather and im very sure you dont have that because it sells for $100 a yard. Nice job by the way.
