Re: Aerogear product development progress pics
To address comments like the rear bumper is just retarded looking maybe they should wait until it's finished
I posted updated pics last night.
As far as turn signals I have a wiring diagram that will make the marker lights dual function I have mentioned this throughout the post so legality is a non issue. The front bumper does not scrape at all pulling in and out of my garage and my diveway which is pretty nasty. I'll take some pics on paved road so you guys can see it's not as low as it appears on gravel. 4" of clearance up front is pretty standard for a lowered car and a body kit.
I'll take pics of the evo bumper this week.

Re: Aerogear product development progress pics
well actually.. the rear bumper is tight, but i think all you need to do is graft it onto the stock bumper like half-way down. instead of using the top lip part, just use the bottom and sides, so it keeps that aerodynamic flow but keeps all the mad mx'ers happy. LOL but i think its all good, i think it looks sick, and it'll look tight whatever u choose to do. keep it up!

Re: Aerogear product development progress pics
I think its too square. It doesnt match the mx-3's body lines. Its shape makes it look like the rear bumper is huge.
Re: Aerogear product development progress pics
True, I dislike the rear bumper IMO, but it's still great that someones working on a new kit for us. I can't wait till the rear is rounded off though.
On the front bumper, can't we mount the oem turnsignals in the "gaps" like the combat bumper (or is the gap not wide enough?)

Re: Aerogear product development progress pics
It won't be square when completed. I noted that on the last update of pics. The top half of the bumper will match the oem contour. I had to build a matching shape first then I can make accurate measurements to cut out and then fill with foam and achieve final shape prior to fiberglassing and finish filler work.

Re: Aerogear product development progress pics
the front is awsome....and aerodynamically great....because the on the front of the the car the lowest part should be the farthest forward on the car

Re: Aerogear product development progress pics
For those of you who have nothing better to do than piss and moan about what you don't like about the kit he's working on, here's an idea... if you don't like the front, or if you don't like the back or whatever about it, don't buy it. We should be kissing his *** for taking the time and effort to produce bodykits this nice for our cars that most other companies wouldn't bother with. There's nothing wrong with offering a little constructive critisism, but calling his work retarded when it's not even finishied, come on. That's just a little food for thought.

Re: Aerogear product development progress pics
blindmelon-people dont like it and are completley free to express their opinion of dis-like. if no one ever says what they dislike on the project, it can never be tweaked here and there to be made better. some people dont see what others do...express your like, let others express their dis-like.
as for me, i do really like the drift kit. if i get another mx-3 i will be buying this kit more than likely, that is if something new then doesnt tickle my fancy!

Re: Aerogear product development progress pics
everyone can put in their own 2 cents. if they dont like the kit, no one is makin em buy it. im buyin it regardless of whether or not ne one else likes it. im buyin the full thing and if they make a hood and some fenders im buyin those to. im gettin money right now. i got almost all the money for the kit already. as long as those prices r firm im gonna get the entire thing. thats all i got to say for now. if u like it buy it, if ud ont no ones forcing u to. simple as that.
oh yea and ne idea on the fenders yet?
and keep up the good work man. u doing great.

Re: Aerogear product development progress pics
as of yet i do not have an mx3 i'm am trying to finish my last payments on my protege then i'm selling it to pick one up... i've been looking around at a lot of the body kits and this one by far is my favorite... my only issues are i wish there was a way to get a urethane version made i know it costs more but is well worth it... i love the front end and the side skirts... i do have a slight fear on the hieght but if it really does have 4" of clearance that isnt' too bad.. i can't recall what my current clearance is after i lowered my pro but it isn't much higher... i would like to see the rear when you are done cause so far it looks like it sticks out a bit but definantly not a bad bumper... lastly i love the first idea you had on fenders the second one had much too large of a vent for that small fender.. just my .02 cents... thanks for this awesome job by the way.. wish someone would do this for the 2nd gen protege

Re: Aerogear product development progress pics
I was a little worried when I first saw the squared off version of the rear bumper, but it seems to be coming together really well now. I'm gonna hafta order this kit when I get my car re-sprayed in the spring.
