Re: Aerogear product development progress pics
The only problem that people will run into-- is that the kit is too low for everyday driving.
It looks HOT -- but as Andrew Pakula found out with the PakFeifer front end-- its way to low for a lowered MX-3.
I have Jamex Springs, and my front tires are almost touching my fenders-- so this kit would be out of the question for me. And while Andy Winklers MX-3 IS Lowered, a lot of MX-3s are lower-- and this kit would not be for them.
Oh well.
Still Looks HOT!

Re: Aerogear product development progress pics
I think it'll be fine as long as you know how to drive a lowered car. I have no problems in my Cougar at the ride height pictured. You jus have to be careful and take dips and grade changes at an angle. Also with a body kit coil overs are a good idea so you can get the wheel gap just where you want and match for clearance to what you want. I did not want to build a kit that looked skyjacked unless an owner has coil overs cranked down 3.5"

As far as I'm concerned, you're doing everything right with that body kit right now. It looks incredible and I'm very interested in seeing the final product. I think it's going to turn out to be exactly what I was looking for in a body kit. Keep up the good work.
Second place is the first loser.
Re: Aerogear product development progress pics
The drift kit looks killer on the mx! Great job, I can't wait till I can get my hands on one

Re: Aerogear product development progress pics
I agree either make the side skirts lower on raise the font on most of the kits up. Something that flows nice from the front to the sides and then right to the back. Just like your cougar Craig

Re: Aerogear product development progress pics
I think raising the front up a bit would be the smartest choice. The corksport front end looks the best IMO because it doesnt look like a snow plow and doesnt get scraped up on every imperfection in the road. Also its not super aggressive. This drift kit looks amazing, but its just too low for normal driving. I think it would look just as good raised up a bit. And then it would match the skirts better and flow better. If someone wants the slammed look, then slam the car, none of this ricy snow plow garbage.

Re: Aerogear product development progress pics
I agree, I like the corksport front a lot too I'd like to see a kit come out that isn't aggressive.
Re: Aerogear product development progress pics
Craig, i was checking out some cars on the web and i came across the Predator hood style. Since knowing AEROGEAR makes this product... Is it possible for you to make it? i really think it would make the mx3 stand out with a clean look! you had asked what else we would like to be made for us mx3 owners and i think that would be hot.
Also outstanding job on this drift project

Re: Aerogear product development progress pics
I am not changing the front bumper. It is setup to give a good lowered stance that is driveable with a 1.5" drop. If you are concearned with the height of the front bumper coi overs would be a good choice. This bumper was built to the same height we build all our bumpers and I'm able to pull this car in and out of my driveway without scraping and my driveway has a nasty dip in it.
The rear bumper will be cut in half and extended down. The pics just show the early fabrication work on the top half.
