Post by keetonFXY »

Hrmm my door sensor the thingy that turns the interior light on when you open the door doesnt work... first the driver door now the passenger was wondering if it maybe the switch (on the dome light) or the pushy thingy on the door its funny that they both went at almost the same time??? Any Ideas?
[ May 04, 2003: Message edited by: keetonFXY ]

they're a basic design...
the pin slides out and grounds on the body completing the circuit which turns on the lights, your problem may be a few things.... 1: the grounding point on the body is rusted and the switch can't get a good connection point or 2: the power connection on the end of the switch is corroded and the wire broke off. take them out and see which one it is. the reason i said go buy new switches is because the wires usually corrode before the ground point rusts.

If you don't feel like tracing it back to its source then cut it and splice it back in with the new switch. But that is assuming the problem lies in the switch and not in the wires you would be following back. Oh, nevermind, just trace them back...
My first import ran on rice, this one runs on style.
