nah 17 inch rims will fit easily with any tire around 205/40/17
Heres a pic of my 17" TSW white revo's with federal 205/40/17

I would have done a side shot for you but my car has so much weight reduction taht my gaps in my wheel wells are like 5 fingers big, so it looks like *** . Anyways hope that helps. Many people on here have 17's and even up to 19's I think, do a search you'll find many pics, also in the registry you'll find many pics.

Hey, Claude! You're back!
Mazdamxstyle has the right size there, that doesn't change the diametre from your stock tires.
I've lowered my car a lot (don't know exactly), and there is still no rubbing.

one
You can use this web app to figure out what type of wheel/tire combo to get that won't mess with your speedometer.
http://www.mr2.com/FORMS/tire.html
Hey, I've been thinking about getting some new rims to replace the standard GS ones I have. But I really need some help in that I have no idea what these numbers you guys are throwing around mean: 205/40/17??? I'm thinking my red MX-3 would definitely look very nice with some 17" ones, but I need some help and buying advice. Where would you guys go for the best deals? Is e-bay a viable option? I'm not looking to spend too much as I'm still a college student.
205/40/17
205 is the tread width in mm. 40 is the sidewall height as a percentage of the tread width in mm (205mm X 40%). 17 is the diametre of the rim in inches.
one
