to be more specific... they are used to align the headlights. There are special tools the dealerships have to align them with.

I'm in on the group buy. I have one foggy headlight anyways, so this would be my way to replace it....<P>pics please

yea barry's right. if you didnt have the nipples, you'd have to go to a shop that aims it for you electronically or something like that. it was on a different post after searching for 'headlight lens'.<P>but i believe i know what you're talking about vizual....the assembly had two hoses behind it that just had some type of tube connected to it. seemed like it was a heatsink or something for heat to dissipate.

im very sorry to inform everyone that the one making the glass lenses for me refuses a group buy. he wouldnt tell me why except because i dont have the right to distribute these things off of him and that they aren't d.o.t. approved/safe/legal for everyone.<P>im sorry for getting people excited about this, but i do recommend that you find your local glass blower/custom specialist to have lenses made for you. they are really worth it. again sorry for the trouble. i should post pics of my lenses on my site soon.

IMO, no pic, no mod....For some reason i know this wouldnt work out....I dont think u got the glass headlights even for yourself...Maybe ill be eating my words later on, but for now im not going to believe you...show me pics and ill apologize and congrat you.

sorry mx3man but you will be eating your words later on. ;) i have 3 pics on 36mm film that i will have walmart develop into cds and post them on my website. right now im just trying to use up all of the film and i have bout 11 more. it'd be kinda stupid to post about have glass lenses made and bs about it.
