Re: Best year for MX-3?
maybe the guy who had it before me had some work done on it or something but this thing is pretty fast for what it is. i got it up to 90 in only a few seconds the other day and i know its not the fastest car in the world but its a nice little car.

I have a 95 and did doesn't have air bags. Air bags in 95 were still an option. So if you want air bags make sure they've got them.

Re: Best year for MX-3?
92 = simpler interior, crappy sliding a/c controls, RS has very underpowered engine, Power seatbelts > no airbags, VERY abundant in numbers
93 = offere the SE model w/leather shiftknob, steering wheel and seats. Most abundant in numbers, otherwise same as 92 models
94 = Offered GS and RS still. Cooler looking interior (not as practical IMO), digital a/c controls, RS has DOHC motor, MORE WEIGHT due to airbags, Fewer sold than 92 & 93
95 = only RS offered w/more option packages. No other changes I really noticed. Hard to find

Re: Best year for MX-3?
I enjoy my 93 GS far more than my 94 RS. I like the look of the dash in 94, but I prefer everything else in 93. Also manual trans all the way. My 94 always felt wrong being an automatic and since I got the 93 it told me why the car should be manual.

I wish I could put a 95 climate control into my 92. Anyone ever attempted swapping? I know people who have done manual to auto climate in T-birds.
