Removing A-Pillar Tips?

Post by GMGQ »

I need to remove the pass. side A-Pillar. I found the schematics from the online shop manual, but does anyone have any tips from personal experience? I guess the sketchiest part is being careful with the clips? Any tips comments are greatly appreciated! TIA.

are you talking about the interior piece are the entire pillar?
The interior piece just has clips, start from teh top and work your way down. Its pretty hard to break anything from there.
If you're talking about the entire pillar... good luck.. i didnt even know you could do that.

Heh, no no, just the interior plastic piece. So I just start pulling it out from the top?
What's the "welt" thing that the manual refers to??

quote:
Originally posted by Sonicxtacy02:
are you talking about the interior piece are the entire pillar?
The interior piece just has clips, start from teh top and work your way down. i have no idea what the "welt" is, but its quite easy and nothing to worry about if youre being semi-careful. It'll probably take a good tug if they're being removed for the first time, but dont pull to the point that they bend or break.
