Post by Diablo »

Hi,
been trying to remove my front seats. Im having a real hard time, the bolts won't move. i've sprayed then with dw40 and let it sit for a while, and they still won't move.
any one have any tricks or ways of getting the bolts off? someone told me to try to tighen them a little then try to unscrew them. The nuts don't move either way.
any help would be appreciated.
cheers

if you can get an air gun, try getting a longer socket wrench or breaker bar. I know when I removed mine, I had to use a breaker bar to get the bolt to move.
Cheers,

I say, Ahmed. What is that thing you do when you're about to assassinate an infidel?

Just Incase anyone has a problem with a tough bolt that won't come out. I had rounded off the bolt heads, so there was no grip left on the bolt. here is how i got the little bastered out. you have to buy a "left handed drill bit" - ya first time i heard that i was like ?huh? , but they do make them. just use the drill at low rpm and drill in reverse. use dw40 as lube. and if you lucky the bolt well start to come out.
if not just use a screw extracter to extract the bolt from the drill hole. got the info from some automotive forum.
Thanks white fish, and precidian for your assistance.
:)
