insurance=kit?

Post by B »

in the winter i slid into the nack of a ford explorer and scraped up my front bumper. it's not noticeable at all but the insurance estimate $500. my deductible is $200. does anyone know whether i could use a bodykit to repair the bumper and only have to pay $200 for it? has anyone done this before? if so, it would save me some money and get dings fixed.
thanks a lot
by the way, the damage to the explorer was something like $3000. i totaled his high set bumper when i practically slid under his car. pretty bad for him i guess. :) :mad:

you can get a new bumper if you'd like, but i don't know about fussing with insurance. i tried to do that before and the body shop fixing my car said they wouldn't do it... good luck though
dave
