Retractable-Removalable Hardtop

Post by mazda20 »

What do you think? Can it be done cut the roof and have some body work done to make a removable roof like on the Honda Del Sol's. Or is this mod something that should stay in the movies.
Image
http://www.net-vest.cjb.net

I dont know if it could be done or not, but that would kick a--! My stupid sunroof is always breaking and Mazda wants $600 to fix it.

its called a targa top and it can be done....your looking at alot of money though.....and you have to have a sub-frame built into the car so that it doesnt sag in the middle......if you dont the when you cut the roof out eventually you wont be able to open your doors anymore.......if you want to find a kit, a good place to look would be a truck magazine i see adds for them all the time......

A targa top, are we talking like $1000.00 alot or what? Also do you think that because the doors have a frame on them that it wouldn't look totally stupid when the windows are rolled down. I really want to do it, but I think that might look a little lame.

If yur spending the money to targa your car, I'd do it all, and do it right.
