it is just there to see how many people will touch it..... lol <BR>actually it is supposed to be a ground so that you do not get shocked when you open the doors.

oooh I know this one...<P>ya know when you get out the car in winter and you shock yourself a good shot when you touch the door to close it? well before you touch the door you can touch the rubber "touch" piece and you will discharge without shocking yourself. I love this feature and hate not having it in other cars, I always get a static shock when I get out of cars in winter.
