Painting Interior Parts Silver

Post by Maddbuck »

I have a special edition MX-3 and I am thinking of painting some of the parts inside like around the vents and the center dash around the radio. I want to paint them silver. Has anybody painted some of their interior parts silver? I've test painted some plastic that is similar. The problem I run into is the silver comes out great but I need to put a clear coat on afterwards and the clear coat destroys the silver and turns it into a dull grey even after I let the silver dry for over an hour. Does anybody have suggestions on how to paint these parts silver? Type of paint suggestions are also welcome. I want to do this an have it look good.<P>thanx in advance
