Nose bra

Post by A.S. »

What is the purpose of a nose bra? I have one and I have never put it on. Is it a winter thing?

DO NOT PUT IT ON IN THE WINTER!!!!, the salt will wreck it and your paint, its a summer thing, it help keeps rocks off ur front end, and gives it a dress up effect i guess

Sorry guys. I'll take it to the appearance section. I just thought it was for winter protection which would affect performance, not in a speed sence, but in efficiency.

Bras serve no purpose. Some say its to protect the paint, but whats the point because no one can see the paint when its on! Plust over time the paint underneath will fade. Also, bras look ugly as crap!

i have to step in here.. the paint under the bra wont fade... it will remain the original color, but the unprotected paint will fade. Eventually.. you have two toned front end!
If i leave my car under a hood would it fade faster than leaving it out in the sun?

i don't have one.. but I would use it on long trips when i know that I'll be doing a lot of highway driving.. and maybe a bit of slightly off track driving too, to protect the front end from chips and scratches from flying stones etc.
From my point of view, they are by no means a permanent thing, only something to be used when you feel you need to. Go here to possibly learn more: Car Bra
Hope it helps,
Ads
PS. Look for the Mazda Eunos X-30, that's what they have called it on this site.
[ December 20, 2001: Message edited by: eunosads ]

I let my car wear the bra. The winter are crappy in my place. I never saw a road without rock or salt near my place... So, if I follow a car, the bra, methink, help me protect the front of my car. I just push away the snow, rock, or salt when the ride is over.
In the Summer, I take it off, unless I know I'll be driving on dirt road (sp?)...
Two cents.

Personally I think the bra is as useful as altezza tail lights. I think it's just for cosmetic reasons and nothing else. I happen to like the way my car looks with the bra on. It's all in your own opinion

I have a bra on my car because my school parking lot is gravel. People drive crazy and there's rocks flying everywhere. There's also a few bad spots on the front of my hood that I had to touch up. It covers those up. I take the bra off about once a month and wax under there. It protects it pretty well.
