I like that...I would like to borrow that idea from you? Could you give any more info? Paint type, did you paint the whole light or just the side... man that looks better than the unsightly orange colour before....
cool idea though

Question... After painting them how well can you see the break light at night. Don't want to get pulled over . I like the idea. What kind of paint did you use???
I used Testors brand translucent candy apple red. Available at most hobby shops. You can still se PERFECTLY thru the paint since it is clear paint. I used about seven thin coats about eight to ten minutes apart.
quote:
Originally posted by MrsOzx:
Question... Mine is still stock reflective looking. I didnt want to spray over the backup lense because then you cannot see in reverse.
quote:
Originally posted by monty73741:
i only tapped off the orginal red and only painted the..amber and white...so it is still stock reflective looking

Dammit! Let's see if we can make sense of this. It looks damn good to me.
Oh well. I guess my Dixie cup and Chistmas lights project is off...
RF

Jeff, that was nasty. I think it makes more sense in Japanese.
Well, I'm off to the junkyard. And then it's time to whip out the Dremmel...
screw the DOT regs.
