Spoilers Ect. Kit

Post by kalynn12 »

I am wondering what the rep on this kit is. Do people who have it like it? What is the quality. I really like the kit and want to get it. I don' want something to aggressive looking. Thanks for the help.<BR>Jessica

all i know is that i bought their supra style spoiler and the quality was horrible. my body guy would not even put the spoiler on because he felt i'd be very disappointed with the final product. there was ripples in the fiberglass which were very easy to see. i dont know about hteir body kit but if their supra spoiler speaks anything about the rest of their products, then i say stay away from spoilers etc!!!

If you look at a Lund brand Bed cover , they come wavy and rippled too. The outcome depends on if the painter takes the time to sand it smooth, or if he/she is just trying to get the adhesion for the paint. If you take the time to sand it straignt it will look good. Just add a guide coat as you sand untill you reach a desired smoothness. Its mostly if you want to take the time to do something, It does have the possiblity of turning out great. Just because its ripply and bumpy doesnt automaticly say its not good quality. That is fiberglass and it is some tuff stuff to work with.

yea i know what your saying but this was horrible. there are two types of fiberglass methods, hand lain and chopper gun. hand lain fiberglass eliminates the ripples, chopper gun does not. my body guy said he could try sanding it down, or filling it in, but the fiberglass was too thin and he would go right through it. the thing was shite. my friend just got the wings west and it is so much better than spoilers etc.

just rememeber you get what you pay for in most cases. and don't get your expectations too high when buying aftermarket stuff, it almost ALWAYS comes banged up and chipped. it usually needs minor and a lot of times major body work before you can put on. in the case of spoilers etc., my body guy said he wouldn't do it... especially cuz my car was black and the ripples would be even more evident than say a white car.
