Installing Body Kits........

Post by 1LOMX3 »

How hard is it to install a body kit. I am consider purchasing the whole FX Designs one and before I go spending close to $1100.00 I just wanted to see what I would be in store for. If someone could tell me pretty detail instructions that would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance

The only thing i didnt like about the kit was that it came with very little mounting equipment.I took me 8 hours to install the fx designs body kit. Its a b---- because the piece don't fit the car perfect....as with any body kit. I had to drill holes shave them so the screw would sink in...then I went over the holes with putty and i used alot of silicone. All in all.. get ready to put a day aside for this project. But its all worth it.. andthe thing with the FX design body kit is that not many people have it.. i live in new york and i have yet to see and MX-3 with a FX body kit.. and not many people even drive mx-3s around here.

I went with a body shop to do the full install for me, it was much easier and the paint job turned out good (except for the spoiler). It cost only about $700cdn (570$us approx)
I guess it depends how much time you have on your hands as well.
