92 mx3 quite fast with k8.. is this strange?

hmm..ok Im new to mxx..bought it for 1000 ..very happy with it. BUT well im a little confused. My last car was a 180 hp modded nissan maxima...nothing to brag about.. 0-60 in 7 secs. Ok..I dont know wht a k8 engine does ..but is 8 seconds ok..or fast? I first ran this car today and was able to own a few civics a grand am and an old corica... OK is this RIGHT? i tought the k8 sucked for racing? I did hear my dad mention when we got the car that the guy had rebuilt this engine and had done some sort of head work and valve work. What is porcelain valves? Im pretty sure he heard wrong...but how can I tel how modded this engine is? I also heard he had put in some sort of forged pistons or someting? aaaaa how do I know if I have an entire stock k8 :*( The owner moved.. he seemed in quite a hurry to leave town.. maybe drug dealer. anywho..where exactly on the heads can I tell if its a klze or another engine? and how can I tell if it has any head work..ported .oversized valves or anything? Or is this normal speed for an mx3..if it is..I must say im impressed.. then again... I am an mx3 newbie..so what can u guys tell me? oh and what are ur 0-60 times? thanks in advance.

Hey good racing man. You know sometimes I think my K8 is fast as crap and I wounder why I need the ZE but then I realize I'll always want more power. But ya man, i still think the K8 is fast having raced around a lot with it.

Where exactly is the EGR? I see it in the diagrams..but I cant find it on the exhaust manuifold. the intake states k801 something like that..meaning it is the k8?? correct? Is there any way to tell if the engine has been modified?

ya k8 isnt bad it beats most other stock cars,its got VRIS and pretty good agressive cams
